HYDROSTATIC STRESS BOARD

The primary functions of the Hydrostatic Stress Board (HSB) of PPI are to issue recommendations to industry regarding the long-term strength of thermoplastic piping materials intended for pressure applications, and to develop appropriate policies and procedures for the conduct of this activity. Since 1958, the PPI HSB has worked as a volunteer group under PPI's auspices to define appropriate test procedures and issue recommendations for long-term strength.
