Pipe Labels Focus on Safety

One of the biggest advantages to using HDPE pipe is its ease of handling. And the Plastics Pipe Institute has developed a set of five adhesive labels that manufacturers may use to maintain a high standard for safety in the industry. Using a bright yellow color and detailed illustrations, the labels instruct material handlers how to safely remove the pipe from the truck using fork lifts and cranes. This guide was developed and published with the technical help and financial support of the members of PPI. The members have shown their interest in quality products by assisting independent standards-making and user organizations in the development of standards, and also by developing reports and guides on an industry-wide basis to help engineers, code officials, specifying groups, contractors and end-users.
